Jonars B. Spielberg is a CITE Researcher for Sustainability. Jonars is also a research staff member at MIT's Sociotechnical Systems Research Center. His background is in interdisciplinary approaches to understanding complex problems, ranging from international development, governance and public policy, and human-environment systems.
Prior to joining MIT, Jonars was a Graduate Fellow at Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, where he researched strategies for providing clean water and sanitation to poor urban communities in Asia. He holds a BA in International Relations from Michigan State University, and an MA in International Relations and Environmental Policy from Boston University.
